STAND ALONE SERMONS
These are sermons that were not a part of a sermon series or given by guest preachers.
(February 18, 2018 / Preacher: David Morton)
Everyone worships something.
We worship because God created us to worship.
But what does True Worship look like?
Jesus describes true worship as those
who worship God in Spirit and in Truth.
The Angels' Question
(April 1, 2018 / Preacher: Brad Lynch)
In Luke 24:5 the angels asked the women at Jesus' tomb a
powerful question, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?" We are all seeking life. Not just physical life, but something deeper. We all desire a fulfilled life. We all long to be satisfied.
The great question is, where do we seek to get that life.
Because Jesus is alive, He is the only one who can give real life.
In fact, He is THE LIFE.

And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and cet us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.

In Luke 4 Jesus finds himself face to face with Satan
and in the middle of a spiritual fight.
Jesus relies on God the Father for strength by fasting
and using scripture as his strength.
Jesus now offers us victory over temptation
if we follow His example.

We not only want to celebrate our moms today, but more importantly worship the God who made and loves them. God wants every woman to know that they are perfectly created and positioned in the world for His glory. You have been placed in your world, family, church, work, and community for “such a time as this”. Today, we want to encourage all daughters of God to rise up and be used to further His kingdom and proclaim his glory.

Salt & Light
(September 23, 2018 / Guest Preacher: Rick Lowder)
You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. - Matthew 5, 13-14 ESV

Church members are called the body of Christ. Acts 2:42 provides insight to what being the body of Christ looks like. As we examine what it specifically means to be the body of Christ, we see a direct reflection of Jesus’ physical body and life.
