North Albemarle Baptist Church sits in a vibrant community about an hour east of Charlotte, NC, but the church body is even more vibrant than the city. At over a hundred years old, North has a rich history in the city of Albemarle. The congregation’s reach goes beyond the city into the county and even neighboring counties. North is a growing church, reaching families of every generation in recent years. North Littles, North Kids, and North Students are all experiencing tremendous growth, spiritually and physically.
The church has adopted the strategy, and aspires to be totally committed to, believe, become, and be sent. We believe that is what it means to be North. Doctrinally, we align with the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000, without any reservations. Our pastoral team is committed to expositional preaching and faithful biblical shepherding.
ABOUT THE POSITION
NABC is seeking a full-time associate pastor to give primary oversight to the next generation to believe, become, and be sent. This position will be heavily involved with North Students, but will also be responsible for oversight in North Kids and North Littles, creating a continuity of discipleship between each age group . The Next Gen pastor will be the primary teaching pastor for North Students, and will collaborate with our Littles Director and Kids Director. As a member of the pastoral team, this pastor will be competent in the foundational elements of pastoral ministry: preaching, service leading, pastoral care, and administration. He ought to be able to lead and influence in every area of church life. While experience and education will be important in this role, the ideal candidate is one that will embody and cultivate the NABC culture.
